The trace element Zinc is a so called “All-rounder”, and is involved as a Co-Enzyme for several hundred enzymes. This essential trace element has a vital function for a normal metabolism; for instance in the balancing of Acids and Alkalines, Carbohydrate, Lipid and Vitamin A metabolism.

Zinc is significantly involved in Protein and DNA Synthesis. Furthermore, it helps to promote a normal cognitive function*. Zinc contributes to good fertility and normal sexual performance. For healthy hair, skin, bones and nails, as well as good vision, Zinc is also useful. Zinc is one of the most important minerals beside Iron, Selenium and Magnesium.

This trace element is very important for a normal Glucose metabolism because it is a part of the Insulin molecule.
